Blue Planet Aquarium provides all you need for a truly magical day out. From start to finish your visit will be a voyage of discovery that will provide amusement and entertainment whatever your age.
Our 70m moving underwater walkway will take you on a spectacular journey through Caribbean waters. Home to some 20 different species of sharks you may want to stay a while and marvel at these graceful creatures from the safe site of a seat in our Aquatheatre. If you're very lucky you may even get a glimpse of our Wobbegong Shark, a species that is renowned for its ability to blend into the background courtesy of its specially camouflaged body!
Although you might come to see the sharks we guarantee that your attention will be caught by a whole host of other marine life. Over 450 species will captivate and astound from comical Clown Fish in Reef Magic to menacing Piranhas in Amasonia or the Batfish in Coral Bay. We even have a weird and wonderful collection of tropical brightly coloured poison dart frogs!
There's more going on outside, where our Otter Enclosure houses two families of Asian Otters. We challenge you not to smile as they carry on their everyday business of skylarking and general mayhem!
Also outside you will find the Octopus Adventure play area, a great way to occupy the under 10's whilst you take advantage of our new outdoor cafe!
