Tourism Retail Award 2008 - Bent's Garden & HomeBents Garden & Home

"This was a difficult job to choose, but the winner was consistently excellent in all areas, especially the new Open Skies Glasshouse and the excellent staff development and training scheme"

Excellence in Business Tourism 2008 - Park Royal Hotel

Carden Park Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa

"For such a big business, we were impressed by the way they went the extra mile, with staff engaged and interested in green issues. For such a large business they were looking for opportunities to go green and therefore gave it more than just lip service and could definitely inspire other businesses to take the issue on"

Cottons Hotel & Spa"A 21st century attitude - the whole hotel is of a high, consistent standard throughout from the entrance and bar to the rooms, spa and conference areas. Although a large hotel and part of a group, lots of attention to detail and understanding of guests requirements, also excellent use of local produce, meant this hotel stood out in what was an incredibly strong shortlist, of which Cheshire should be justifiably proud"
