After all this eating and drinking in Cheshire's pubs and restaurants, you will want to make sure you take some of the treats home with you to share with family and friends!

Shop for treats at Cheshire's Farmers markets where you know that the produce is fresh and seasonal. Producers take pride in doing things the traditional way - slowly, in small quantities and by hand. Farmers markets are held regularly throughout Chester and Cheshire, at 16 different locations throughout the County.

Cheshire is lucky to have lots of farm shops to showcase the best local produce, try the Housekeepers Store at Tatton Park, with its estate reared Venison as one of its most celebrated products. You can search for Cheshire's farm shops within these pages.

Local Produce in CheshireFarmers Markets encourage us to return to buying from local producers - farmers and butchers.

Many of Cheshire's producers now have retail outlets of their own, which are turning into experiences in themselves such as Cheshire Farm Ice Cream, which is sold throughout the County, but at their attraction you can see how it is produced.

The Cheshire Smokehouse, where you can taste the smoked meat in their own café. But you don't necessarily need an outlet, many of Cheshire's producers don't mind if you roll up to their farm and buy directly from the producer - for information on where you can buy local produce in Cheshire, contact Made in Cheshire - 01270 616455

And of course we must not forget the beer.....

The local taste for beer spurs the micro brewing industry and micro breweries are multiplying - which is good news for everyone.

Micro brewing is certainly a growing business in Chester and Cheshire...........we have more than 10 micro-breweries now, many of which offer tours and tasting visits.
