Type: Town

Originally built as 'a new town' by The Grand Junction Railway Company in the 19th Century to house workers at Crewe station, Crewe is now home to luxury hotel and conference facilities, a PGA European Tour Championship Golf Course, a Millennium Marque Business Park, Beacon Status academia and more recently Manchester Metropolitan University with an international reputation in sport science, teacher education and contemporary arts!

So although Crewe may be home to Pete Waterman's personal collection, these days you are much more likely to experience pure indulgence at exclusive facilities such as Crewe Hall, the Jacobean mansion built for Sir Randolph Crewe dating back to 1170, or enjoy some serious self endulgence at Wychwood Park's indoor spa... Whatever your taste, Crewe has plenty to offer those searching for a real treat in a great location in Cheshire's Upper Weaver Valley.

Crewe's railway heritage is not forgotten though and Crewe continues to be one of the most strategically important towns in England, providing essential communication and transport links throughout the UK, with excellent opportunities for business development, with first class business tourism facilities.
