Type: Village

Farndon lies on the River Dee, south of Chester and on the border with North Wales, with which it is linked by a 14th century, 9-arch stone bridge.

The church in Farndon has its origins in the 13th century but was restored after the Civil War.

Farndon has a pleasant picnic area on the banks of the River Dee. The Marches Way passes through the village on its way from Chester to Whitchurch and then on to Cardiff, a distance of some 200 miles.
