Cheshire provides the perfect backdrop for Film and TV productions, and has already played host to a number of big titles.

With the scenery of the luscious Cheshire Plains, to grand historic houses, quaint villages, market towns and the Roman City of Chester - all are popular settings for contemporary to period dramas.

One of the biggest hits for BBC Drama in recent years has been the acclaimed production of Pride and Prejudice. Lyme Park in Cheshire was the setting for the external scenes at 'Pemberley'. This grand stately home stands on the A6 between Buxton and Stockport. It provided the exterior shots of Pemberley House.

Mr Darcy and Elizabeth strolled through the 1,400-acre park enjoying superb views of the Peak District.

Daniel Craig the current James Bond was born in Chester and began his acting career from a very early age in the area.
