Farmer for a Day !

Be a Farmer for a Day! - maybe as a team building experience!

Farmer for a Day offers your group the chance to roll up their sleeves and really get involved in the daily work on a farm. The day includes working under supervision, lunch at a local Cheshire pub and a surprise gift as a memento of your special day.

Clonter Opera

For those who do not know Clonter, this is the nearest thing to Glyndebourne in the North West, a private theatre set in the heart of the Cheshire countryside nurturing musical talent for 35 years.

This is the only theatre of its kind in the North West. Not only does it offer excellent entertainment for the general public and exceptional training opportunities for young singers, it also provides Theatrical and Musical Workshops and Matinees for over 1000 school children each year!

Brewery Tours

Groups can experience a one hour tour of Blakemere Craft Centre's working brewery explaining the processes involved. This includes tastings at the end of the tour! Minimum group size is 20 going up to a maximum of 27.

Pottery Workshops

The Potters Wheel at Blakemere Craft Centre offers numerous courses for budding potters. Including a basic course in pottery for complete beginners. You can choose your own times to come and spread out the sessions for as long as you like. They are two hour sessions. The first hour is under instruction. The second hour is mostly working on your own.

Contemporary China Painting

Elaine Rickard gives lessons in China painting in The Potters Wheel at Blakemere Craft Centre. For further details see www.held.co.uk.

Falconry Courses and Displays

Cheshire Waterlife and Falconry offer numerous hands-on experience half and full day courses and also days for groups at Blakemere Craft Centre. All information and prices are available on their website www.cheshire-waterlife.co.uk. Also on offer are tours of the aviaries and a flying display performed specifically for groups.

Chocolate Making

The Chocolate Box at Blakemere Craft Centre offers chocolate making workshops for both adults and children. Your groups can learn how to make their very own chocolate!

Jodrell Bank

The Jodrell Bank visitor centre is the visitor centre for the world famous Lovell Radio Telescope and Jodrell Bank Observatory the astronomy research centre of the University of Manchester.

Take a private guided walk around the tranquil 35 acre Arboretum at Jodrell Bank and discover trees in their natural habitat. See the changing seasons or find out about native trees - the choice is yours. The Arboretum at Jodrell Bank has over 2,000 species of trees, shrubs and National Collections of Malus and Sorbus trees. During spring the colour is spectacular with all the different shades of blossom, in the late summer see the crab apples in fruit and try autumn for the wonderful changing colours. Mount Pleasant

Why not bring your group to the superb Mount Pleasant Gardens in Kelsall. This privately owned garden provides an idyllic setting for your group to join the painting workshops, designed for beginners who have an interest in art, or the sculpture workshops, designed for people with an interest in art and sculpture, giving you a 'hands-on' opportunity to experience stone carving techniques!
