Home Fires

Home Fires was a popular ITV drama (shown for two series) which was set in the fictional rural Cheshire village of Great Paxford (actually filmed in real rural Cheshire village Bunbury). The drama followed a group of inspirational women and their community as they dealt with the shadow of World War II casting a dark cloud over their lives.

Home Fires was inspired by the non-fiction book ‘Jambusters’ written by Julie Summers.
