They moved to their 51/2 acre smallholding in the Llangollen Valley just over six years ago. Carol began keeping goats soon afterwards to munch through the weeds and to provide milk for the family. Her goats were producing so much milk that, even after drinking it and making yoghurt and cheese for friends and family, there was lots left over. A friend suggested making soap with the surplus. She did and it was wonderful!

The pureness of the soap, and its skin nourishing and moisturising qualities created a bit of a demand for the soap amongst friends and relatives so Carol decided to take it a step further and sell it at local farmers markets, fairs and other events. She became a member of Gwynedd & Clwyd Association of Craftworkers, and Crefft Cymru (Wales Craft Council).
