About

"The Rum 100" certainly looks like it will be bringing the 'fantastic' into the festival scene. With it's beautiful farm location, The Rum 100 Festival promises to be the festival lovers dream come true. "We've been keeping this under wraps for some time now. It's been pretty hard believe me." Explains Festival Director, Paul Owen. We've been searching for the past 2 years to find such a great location, and now we have it" Taking place between the 8th-10th September 2017, the festival boasts amongst it's three public bars, rum drinks served 100 ways and a magnificent mix of 100 Artists, bands, DJ's and acts from the world of performing arts, with a comedy show for good measure.

The stunning location they've chosen is Goose Green Farm in Mottram St. Andrew, Cheshire. Festival organisers promise 3 days of great music and entertainment that will appeal to everyone. "Over the three days we want everyone of our festival goers to em-bark on a Journey which stimulates all the senses." says Paul. "We're bringing bags of new music, as well as food and drink sourced both locally and from around the world."

The Rum 100 will be something for everyone no matter what age. Set within 67 acres of rolling countryside, there will be three live performance stages, on site camping, a prosecco and cocktail bar with comfy seating along with a dedicated Rum Experience area to try some worldly rums, and great food. Stunning 27ft tepees and a VIP area with table service and even posh loos. They've also got a swish hair and beauty area to glam yourself up to make sure you' stay tip top over the three days.

The music promises to be something special too. Denis Ferrige, Musical Director at The Rum 100 festival told us a little of what to expect. "Our team work in many areas of the Manchester and North music scene. We're big supporters of new music through our TV, Radio shows and gigs. This festival will be a much bigger extension of that and more." Denis added "This is something a bit special for new music and people who want to discover it. We're continuing to fulfill our common values which is to bring new music and the music people love and want to hear live and in full colour. We will also be reaching an even wider audience at the festival, with plans to televise the festival throughout the weekend on That's TV Network Channel 7 FreeView/YouView - "Did I just let that out of the bag?!" Denis went on to say, "We're also very excited about our "In Residence Orchestra" led by Heather Bird with her Classical Evolution, this has class written all over it, this breath-taking experience will be delivered on 3 levels at the festival, which will engage all our festival goers of all ages, from workshops for kids to a Live interactive live Orchestral Jukebox and leading to a big finale at the end of each night with our headliners, be prepared to be wowed!"

The Directors behind The RUM 100 festival are determined to put this festival firmly on the map. Paul Owen, Dawn Roach and Denis Ferrige, not only have great experience in the music industry and an eye for detail, they also have a very outward looking approach. "We've always had important relationships with local charities." Dawn tells us. "The festival will be no exception. This year we will be supporting White Ribbon (A Global campaign on educating and raising awareness of violence against women and engaging men on these issues) MIND (Salford) and East Cheshire Hospice. We've worked hard over the years to support when we can and it's important for us to continue that work. We are lucky to have the respect and support of the Manchester music community. For us this is a perfect opportunity to extend our support even more with The RUM 100 festival. "
