Waking Day Live in Chester

Expect a great evening of live original music from Country Rock band Waking Day and special guest Gerard Starkie (The Jesus Bolt, ex-Witness, Blue Aeroplanes).

Waking Day will be performing songs from their brand new album "Life Crisis" together with favourites from their debut album "Cuckoo Land".

They will be appearing at the stunning St Mary's Creative Space venue in the heart of Chester.

BIO

Hailing from the North West of England, Waking Day is a 5 piece band that doesn't allow itself to be constrained by genre. "A great song is a great song irrespective of where it can be pigeon-holed" is the approach that has been adopted by the band and this is aptly demonstrated on their critically acclaimed debut 'Cuckoo Land' album and subsequent tracks that are available to stream or download from your preferred music streaming service.

Seeing the band live though is a must to fully appreciate what they're all about. Their live performance perfectly captures all the quality, excitement, dynamics and diversity contained within their well-crafted songs.

Waking Day was started by Jon Shaw (lead vocals, acoustic guitar) back in 2016. He was quickly joined by Piya Goddard (electric guitar) and Ade Hall (Keyboards, backing vocals). The current line-up was completed in 2019 when Jon, Ade and Piya were joined by Justin Davenport (drums and studio wizard) and Andy Cooke (bass, backing vocals).
