Wood or bone talk at Nantwich museum

Since the discovery in 1982, it has been believed that the contents of a Roman urn on display in the Museum to be wood and rubble. On closer inspection, suspicions arose suggesting that the urn instead contains cremated human remains. Analysis has been conducted on samples from the urn at Keele University, confirming the presence of human bone. Who was this individual? How old were they? What temperature were they cremated at? These are all questions that can be answered through this research.
