Gladstone’s Library is in the centre of Hawarden Flintshire.From the M6, come off at junction 20, signposted M56 to North Wales & Queensferry.Continue on the M56 which eventually becomes the A494. Branch left at sign for Queensferry. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit on to the A550. At the top of the hill turn immediately left into Church Lane and Gladstone’s Library is at the end of the lane on the left

Both Liverpool and Manchester airports are within easy reach.The Wrexham-Bidston rail service is operated by Arriva Trains Wales and calls at Hawarden. However, most people will probably find it more convenient to travel by train to Chester. There is a regular bus service from Chester railway station to Hawarden. Arriva bus numbers 4 and X44 run from the train station to Hawarden (destination Mold). Details of these services are available on the Arriva website arrivabus.co.uk. Buses no 11 also runs to Hawarden from Chester city centre.
