Chester Designed by Nature: Spring Blooms - Murmuration

Murmuration reflects the famed murmurations of starlings, captured in a perfect spot on the banks of the River Dee. Here, near the Victorian bandstand, the birds will float amongst the trees so that spectators can sit on a bench and watch the mesmerising performances.

Artist Nikki Charlesworth is a Theatre Designer and Maker residing in the East Midlands. Through her company Nikki Charlesworth Productions, Nikki has created outdoor theatre that has toured the UK. As a puppet-maker and puppeteer, Nikki wanted her Chester: Designed By Nature installation to have a sense of movement.
