Named after the year racing first began in Chester, 1539 Restaurant & Bar is Chester Racecourse’s award-winning dining venue, offering quality food and service all year round. The unique positioning of 1539 offers a sought-after panoramic view of the world’s oldest racecourse as a backdrop to your dining experience.

Dine on AA Rosette awarded cuisine, with the varied menu offering twists on British classics alongside dishes inspired by flavours from across the globe and a quintessential Afternoon Tea offering. 

On racedays the glass-fronted restaurant offers spectacular views of the final furlong, whilst the roof terrace provides a premium atmosphere from which to enjoy a light lunch, raceday action and evening cocktails.
