1. Stableyard Carols at Tatton Park – Time after time, Tatton Park excel in their ability to host fabulous family-fun events and this is no exception. On Sunday 18th December, get in the Christmas spirit with festive carol-singing and music from a local band and choir in the Stableyard. There will be hot chocolate, coffee and afternoon tea to enjoy in the Gardener’s Cottage tea room and the shops will be open later for those last-minute gifts.

2. Santa Cruises at Anderton Boat Lift – A trip to see Father Christmas but not like you have ever experienced before. The traditional sleigh is so last season! At Anderton Boat Lift, Santa and his crew will be cruising along the River Weaver Navigation in their very own boat decorated by the little elves! Join in with the Christmas games, songs and stories and there will be a gift for every child.

3. Blakemere’s Christmas Woodland – Set out on a magical journey to deliver letters to Santa (with a little help from the woodland creatures and characters of course!). On arrival at the Secret Sorting Room, children will have the chance to personally deliver their own letter to Santa and complete the quest. After your wonderland expedition, go skating, ride a traditional carousel, meet Snowy the Owl and friends at the aviaries and take a ride on the miniature railway.

4. Elf Adventures at The Ice Cream Farm – The Elves have a saying: ‘when a child smiles, the whole world smiles with them’ and this year, the Elves are on hand at Cheshire Ice Cream Farm to ensure this happens! Experience an adventure like no other with guaranteed fun, laughter and fantastic memories for the whole family. For the ultimate interactive Christmas experience, be sure to book your tickets in advance as this event is extremely popular.

5. A Dickensian Christmas at Lion Salt Works – Experience something different this year with steam engines, Morris dancers and a choir bringing tons of Christmas spirit to Lion Salt Works on the 10th and 11th of December. The kids will love taking part in all of the free activities. Get involved with some family arts and crafts, go for a ride on a miniature steam engine and last but not least, see Father Christmas in his Winter Wonderland Grotto.

6. Find Rudolph at Dunham Massey – Oh No! Santa’s magical reindeer are lost in the Dunham Massey Woodland; will you find Rudolph and his eight friends in time for Christmas? Once he’s found safe and sound there are festive treats waiting for you in the stables. Accept the challenge and follow your trail map around the enchanting grounds of the spectacular Dunham Massey. On the 10th and 11th December, there will be festive family activities in the stables.

7. Santa & Co. at Cheshire Oaks ­– In the countdown to Christmas, Santa and his elves will be at Cheshire Oaks every weekend – you may be lucky enough to receive a special treat! The Christmas pudding and Snowman will also be on site entertaining guests so keep an eye out, they are more than happy to pose for a selfie. Whilst you’re there, take a peek inside the spectacular Christmas tree and marvel at a sky of over 100,000 lights.

8. An Audience with Father Christmas at Lyme Park – Experience a stately and traditional Christmas this year by visiting Santa in the beautiful Lyme Park Drawing Room. Don’t forget to wrap up warm as this is the perfect opportunity to explore the enchanting gardens, you may even spot a few real life reindeer! A truly unmissable event, the children will leave with their very own Christmas gift and you will leave with that warm fuzzy feeling.

9. A Quarry Bank Christmas – Step back in time and experience a Victorian Christmas at the 18th century Quarry Bank Mill. You will have the chance to wear realistic Victorian costumes so that you can get fully into character for this unique and immersive event. See Father Christmas, participate in festive story-telling, browse the shop for gifts and sample the delicious range of homemade cakes and treats on offer.

10. Festive Fireworks at Gulliver’s – Haven’t made plans for ‘Christmas Eve Eve’? Get the family together on the 23rd December for all the fun and excitement of the rides and attractions PLUS an unmissable firework display lighting up the night sky. Ride the Santa Express to the grotto where children will be able to choose their very own gift from the man himself! The festivities will start first thing with magical Christmas shows running throughout the day.
