· Corks Out Independent Wine and Spirit Specialists Chester – This is a traditional wine merchant, uniquely situated in a converted 13th century crypt. You can sample wines from all over the world. You will have the opportunity to pick from the special wine list or even from the ultra-modern Italian designed ‘wine juke boxes’. If you wish you can also sample as many as 36 wines on one visit. 

· Brides of Chester – If you’re looking to get hitched in the future, make the trip to Brides of Chester. This is a luxurious air-conditioned boutique in the heart of Chester offering a selection of bridal gowns and outfits for every taste. 

· Blackstocks Fish and Chips – A trip to Chester would not be complete without a visit to one of the most popular takeaway destinations in the county. Blackstocks is a small independent family owned business, making use of locally sourced fish and produce. The takeaway’s reputation has seen it visited by politicians, soap stars, and Olympic stars. 

· Waltons of Chester – With an illustrious history dating back to 1909, Waltons of Chester is a jeweller situated at three different locations throughout the city, including Eastgate Street. The stores offer a variety of exceptional jewellery, and pride themselves as being the home of luxury Diamonds and Swiss watches in Chester. 

· Nordic art gallery & shop – If art is your thing, be sure to check out the Nordic Art Gallery, located on St. Michael’s Row in the Grosvenor Shopping Centre. The gallery is home to the work of Ella Rosinkras, an internationally acclaimed artist specialising in Nordic Art. Abstract Nordic art is the main theme of the exhibition, however you can also take a look at glass sculptures, panels and deco’s. 

· Funky Cow – For a treat after all that shopping be sure to check out Funky Cow Milkshake, situated centrally on St Werbugh Street in the heart of Chester’s shopping district. With a wide selection of over 160 flavours, you will not be disappointed.  

Abbey Taxis

The size of Chester means that most attractions are within walking distance of each other. However, you may want to get a taxi to somewhere further afield at some point.
