With the latest government guidance allowing us to dine indoors with our household or support bubbles, we’re getting creative with how to meet with our friends. There’s a wonderful selection of bars, pubs and restaurants that offer al fresco dining in Chester and Cheshire; and with the days getting a little colder, many have winter-proofed their outdoor spaces so you can still enjoy al fresco dining despite the colder weather. As always, to avoid disappointment we advise calling ahead, and just in case bring a warm coat!

A favourite amongst locals and visitors from further afield, The Leigh Arms sits amongst some of Cheshire’s most gorgeous scenery along the River Weaver and by the Trent & Mersey Canal.
