Da Noi, Bridge Street’s Michelin Plate holding restaurant, has launched a new spring 2022 menu boasting an array of authentically Italian dishes.
For Da Noi founders Valentina Aviotti and Fabrizio Gobbato, quality dishes start with quality produce. In Italy, eating seasonally is a way of life; fresh ingredients are the secret weapon when it comes to adding as much flavour as possible. Using a variety of locally-sourced produce, as well as the occasional Italian essential, the new spring menu welcomes a host of freshly-made pasta, meat and fish dishes, as well as unique seasonal changes to Da Noi’s well-known favourites.
Starters include a velvety Orzotto of pearl barley, fava beans, PDO Pecorino, beetroot and pollen - a symbol of spring and nature, specially selected for its sweet, floral taste.
Guests can then indulge in a selection of quintessentially Italian pasta dishes, such as Chitarra Marina (blue spirulina “guitar” spaghetti, red and black caviar, bottarga). According to Chef and co-owner of Da Noi, Valentina Aviotti: “Spring awakens our cravings for fresh food and light, zesty flavours, making it the perfect season for fish and seafood. Salty caviar and bottarga are paired with blue spirulina spaghetti, which represents the sea.”
As for meat and fish dishes, guests can look forward to a rich duck breast with red vermouth, apricots, toasted almonds, potatoes veloute and nasturtium or the newly-added monkfish with cockles, pea puree, caramelised carrots and cornflowers.
Sweet cravings will be satisfied with a host of classic Italian desserts, featuring Chef Valentina Aviotti’s traditional family recipes. A new addition is the Bigne’ - a light and fluffy choux pastry filled with creme patissiere, peach, and hazelnuts.
Valentina continued: “Our new spring dishes are a labour of love, expertly prepared and cooked from scratch. Da Noi translates to “at our place”, which is exactly how we’d like you to feel as soon as you walk through the door. Combining our rich Piedmontese heritage with fresh new ideas, the menu is a perfect marriage of tradition and flair. We’ve loved the feedback so far and are glad our guests enjoy the dishes as much as we enjoy creating them.”
Da Noi is open Wednesday to Thursday from 5-11PM, Friday to Saturday from 12 noon until 11PM, and on Sunday from 12 noon until 4PM, and from 5:30PM until 11PM. For more information and to book, visit the website.
