Rewind Festival

If you’re looking for some inspiration for what’s happening in Chester & Cheshire this week, look no further as we have put together a selection of our top picks for this week. From outdoor cinema and theatre to summer fun in the park and celebrating all things 80s, as always there’s a lot going on so why not enjoy these brilliant things to do this week.

1. Join in the Summer Fun at The Farm at Tatton Park

The farm are hosting their annual summer programme of activities and events. Don't miss daily fun for all, including sheep racing, meeting the new chicks, storytelling, milking demonstrations, sights and sounds of the Mill and running wild in the Mazie Maze and adventure play area.

There’s also 'Taster Tuesday's' where you'll be able to watch delicious cookery demonstrations in the Clydesdale Barn with the farm team. It’s a great chance to learn all about how some of our favourite foods are made on the farm! This week on Tuesday 2 August it’s a cheese making demonstration – sure to be fun for the whole family. Plus, if you book tickets online 3 days in advance of your visit you will save 10%!

2. Enjoy cinema under the stars at some stunning venues across Cheshire

Storyhouse’s brilliant open air cinema Moonlight Flicks is bigger than ever this year spanning four locations across Cheshire (the Dean’s Field, Chester, Snugburys Ice Cream Farm, Nantwich, Claremont Farm, Wirral, and The Lambing Shed, Knutsford). Rock up and bring your favourite deck chair (or book VIP seating) and enjoy some of your favourite films on the giant outdoor screen with onsite artisan food and drink to boot. This weeks highlights include The House of Gucci, Singin’ in the Rain and West Side Story.

3. Solve a murder mystery in the gardens at Walton Hall

Don your detective cap and join Heartbreak Productions for some super silly outdoor theatre this summer with Much Ado About Murder. This original murder mystery will set five suspects under the spotlight, and you the audience will have to find answers. For fans of mystery and comedy, this outdoor theatre production in the beautiful Walton Hall and Gardens starts at 6pm Friday 5 August and tickets start from just £11.33.

4. Kick it Old School at Rewind Festival

Kicking it old school couldn’t be more appealing than at Rewind Festival North. This unique festival truly embraces everything 80s – a decade which may inspire some mixed emotions, but certainly produced some undisputed classics. At Macclesfield’s Capesthorne Hall from 5-7 August revellers can enjoy the likes of Level 42, T’Pau, Sugarhill Gang, The Human League and Belinda Carlisle to name just a few. There’s also a fun fair, silent disco, street food, and kids zone to keep everyone entertained through the weekend.
