Since opening last year BeWILDerwood Cheshire has gone from ‘new kid on the block’ in the world of family attractions to one of the top and most talked about days out in the Northwest.

Within months of being open BeWILDerwood Cheshire was one of only two attractions to win not just one but two awards at the Marketing Cheshire awards (with the other being Chester Zoo!). One of which named the attraction as ‘Newcomer of the year’.

From day one the woodland has received fantastic reviews from both visitors, influencers and local press. As well as a whole host of celebrity visits from the likes of the Rooney’s, Jordan Henderson, Helen Flanagan, Catherine Tyldesley, Jason Manford, Dame Laura Kenny and husband Sir Jason Kenny.

Popular dad blogger ‘Potty Adventures’ recently visited and enjoyed a full day out saying, “We had an absolutely fantastic family day at BeWILDerwood Cheshire […] they have a whole host of extra stuff going on such as craft activities, storytelling and face painting all included in your ticket”.

Another Instagram blogger ‘Mrs Shilts’ said, “It’s a really good family fun day out, we are exhausted! If you’re looking for a fun way to spend the day over the school holidays, you can’t go wrong with a day trip here!”

‘Orlaith Fiadh and us’ another popular mummy blogger loved her visit and has been back multiple times, commenting, “There was so much to do for both the children, we have to go back soon as we didn’t even get a chance to do everything!”.

As well as being a hit with bloggers, visitors are also raving about the woods with 5 star reviews all round. This year BeWILDerwood Cheshire was awarded a Tripadvisor 2022 Travellers Choice award. This award recognises the best of the best tourism destinations based on real customer reviews.

Jodie K on Tripadvisor gave the woodland 5 stars and plenty of praise saying, “Brilliant for all ages and all weather. Absolute fantastic day out for all the Family, we have 2 children aged 5 and 14 so finding somewhere to keep both children happy can be challenging, this park has it all. The slides the zip wires and all the climbing frames were safe clean and easy for all the family to use, the face painting and craft making is all included in the price, the adults also can join in with the face painting. The staff were so friendly from the staff on the entrance to the ones on the slides, face painting and the staff who were serving the food and drinks. There were places to eat, and all at a reasonable price, everything from sandwiches to chocolate and fruit. lots of choice of drinks cold and hold. Ice creams and ice lollies are all available. If you want to take your own picnic there is lots of benches to choose from, the gift shop at the end has a good choice of toys, pens and Teddys all at a good price. We went during a heatwave, and we found it to be cooler and under shelter with all the trees, so I imagine if it was raining there would be shelter from the rain because of the trees.
