Spooky season is nearly upon us and its almost time for you to pick your pumpkins. Cheshire is full of great places to go to get your pumpkin, here is a roundup of some of the best!

Wheelock Hall Farm


Wheelock Farm is a family run business in Sandbach where not only can you pick your own pumpkin you can enjoy a host of other activities on site too. They have animals, an indoor soft play area, an outdoor play area with go-karts and peddle tractors not forgetting the farm shop and tea room. Definitely worth making an afternoon of it!

Tatton Park


Tatton Park's Pumpkin Patch will open 22nd - 30th October. Dont forget to head over to the farm first to meet all your farmyard favourites, then stop by the pumpkin patch to pick the perfect pumpkin. Standard Farm entry + £4 per pumpkin

Bolesworth Estate


Enjoy a frightfully fun day out at Bolesworth Estate this Halloween. Take on the challenge of the spooky halloween maze, enjoy some scarily good crafts and activities and take plenty of photos! Then head over to the FREE pumpkin patch where you will find pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and colours, ideal for painting, carving and eating!!

Magical Malpas


A pick your own pumpkin experience with an extra sprinkling of magic. At Magical Malpas there are plenty of photo opportunities in the hidden prop village but you will have to navigate the spooky mazes to find it first. Meet miniature baby goats Flossie and Mabel and take a spooky tractor ride. Pick your own pumpkin and strawberries straight from the field/pumpkin patch. Maize maze entry £2 per person. Pumpkins from £3.50.  Spooky tractor ride £3.00 per person.  

Pick your own Frodsham


Open weekends from 2nd October 11am - 5pm for you to pick your own pumpkins.

Libbys Patch, Macclesfield


A family run business run by local residents Daniel and Beth Thornicroft and their 3 boys you can expect a warm welcome at Libbys Patch. Pick your own pumpkins and enjoy delicious refreshments on site including fresh baked pizza and homemade cakes. 

Kenyon Hall Farm


Open every day in October, advanced bookings are essential. You will have access to over 15,000 pumpkins and will be able to make memories with their unique, pumpkin-tastic photo backdrops. See displays of pumpkins and squashes of all shapes, sizes and colours, you will be spoilt for choice! Make sure you pop into the Farm shop and cafe onsite before you go. Entry tickets cost £2.50 for adults and children; infants under 18 months go free. No pumpkins are included with the entry ticket.

Dunham Massey Pumpkin Patch


Back for another exciting year of pumpkin fun, the Hewitt family have been busy planting over 28,000 pumpkin plants this year to celebrate the return of the Dunham Massey Pumpkin Patch. You will find many different varieties including traditional orange pumpkins, gourds and knobbly pumpkins as well as last year's very popular Ghost Rider Pumpkins! To make the experience even more magical, you will be able to pick the pumpkins straight from the vines where they have grown.

The Hayloft, Warrington


You are invited to experience the spooky maze at the Hayloft, opening 24th September at 10am. You will also be able to pick your own pumpkins every day in October. Dont forget to pop into the coffee shop before you leave, breakfast is served until 11.45am or you can enjoy a sumptuous afternoon tea. There is also an array of ice cream flavours and homemade scones, cakes and traybakes to treat yourself to.

Benty Farm Team Rooms


Pick your own Pumpkins and from June you can pick your own Strawberries and Raspberries too. Enjoy Afternoon Tea in the tea rooms whilst you are there or warm up with a hot drink.

Claremont Farm


You will be able to find Ghost Pumpkins as well as the traditional orange variety at Claremont Farm. Open from Saturday 8th October. No Booking required. Pay per kg. Open 10am-4pm daily until they are all gone! Stock up on local produce in the farm shop whilst you are there or treat yourself to lunch in the cafe.

Partridge Pumpkin Patch


The Patridge Pumpkin Patch is back for the 2nd year, bigger and better than the last! This year there will be more pumpkins, more props & more FUN! Leave the mess at home and use the onsite carving tent to create some pumptactular designs! Book online here. Breakfast is served all day, every day in the onsite cafe and you can also enjoy delicious burgers, sandwiches, toasties and hotdogs!

Cheshire Potatoes, Bunbury


Open every Saturday and Sunday from 8th October at 10am you can pick your own pumpkins and Cheshire potatoes, perfect for making some hearty autumnal dishes. No entry fee, no booking required. Plus you can enjoy woodfired pizzas on site. 

Pye Ash Farm, Macclesfield


So much more than just pumpkin picking there will be animals to see, sheepdog demonstrations, face painting, local ales & gins, milkshakes, farm fresh hot food, a pumpkin maze and more! No booking required. Every weekend in October 10am - 4pm. £5 per car, please car share where possible! Money raised will go to the fantastic East Cheshire hospice. 

Lambing Shed

Come along to The Lambing Shed's outdoor Pumpkin Patch to choose your perfect pumpkin for Halloween.  Running on the last three weekends in October. Please note that the entry ticket does not include a pumpkin. These are available to buy and are priced depending on size. Don't forget to visit the farm shop and cafe on site. You can takeaway some delicious afternoon tea and graze boxes to enjoy at home.

Delamere Farm Shop
 

Our Pick Your Own Pumpkin field will open on Saturday 8th October till 31st October 10am. Last entry at 4.30pm. Open 7 days a week. No booking required/free entry. Stock up on local produce in the farm shop whilst you are there!

Snugburys
 

The pumpkin patch is opening on the 8th October until 28th October. There will be plenty of pumpkins to pick of all different sizes PLUS Snugburys' delicious Snugpuds will be back, which include their famous brownies, cookies and blondies. Rosto will be there every weekend with the BEST steak sandwiches EVER! - all cooked on fire! Plus there will be a firepit to toast giant marshmallows. Dont forget to sample one of their many ice cream flavours, you can even purchase tubs to take home!

Just over the border in Wrexham you will find family run Bellis Brothers Farm Shop and Garden Centre where you can pick up home grown pumpkins and take part in their spooky maize maze.
