Tired of your tree? Don’t worry as there’s plenty of time to visit Chester Cathedral’s much-loved Christmas Tree Festival. Running until 8 January you can still catch all the magic of these fully-decked trees and continue the Christmas celebrations.

Take a tour through the past this Twixmas

Twixmas could be the perfect time to delve into the fascinating history of Chester. The Chester Tour by the Guild of Chester Tour Guides runs every day of the year (even Christmas Day!) and takes you on a 2000-year journey through Chester’s past. Great for families, the tour is £10 for adults with up to two under 16s going free with each adult.

You can also explore the city this Twixmas with two completely free Rows trails. The Rows Time Travelling Treasure Hunt is perfect for families with children and takes you on a journey through the history of the Rows by searching for clues and treasures. The trail is a great compliment to the Discover the Rows walking and audio trail, too, which takes a circular journey around these unique historic structures, highlighting their fascinating history.
