1. Continue the festivities with a Warrington panto
There’s still time to catch a panto this week as Dick Whittington runs until this Sunday (15 January) at Warrington’s Parr Hall. With all the costumes, comedy, catchy songs and calamities Parr Hall’s pantos have become renowned for, families are invited to join Dick Whittington and his cat in a quest to stop the wicked Queen Rat. With a cast led by Milkshake presenter Amy Thompson this show promises to be a lot of fun, oh yes it does!
2. Explore winter wildlife at Tatton Park
Wrap up warm and head to Tatton Park’s glorious Gardens as they play host to a terrific Winter Wildlife Trail. Have you ever wondered where hedgehogs scurry off to in the winter, where badgers like to snuggle up or where bluebottles hang out? Little explorers can follow the trail whilst getting hands on with nature with our nature rubbings and take a peep into their habitats they call home. It’s family adventure for everyone! 3. Hear the story of when Pele came to Lymm
As the world mourns the passing of one of footballs greatest ever players, Lymm Heritage Centre have a new exhibition of when the man himself, Pele, came to the town. The temporary exhibition, "When Pele Came to Lymm" features photographs, stories, reminiscences and small display of 1966 world cup memorabilia plus a 10 minute video compilation describing the visit from start to end. The exhibition is open Thursdays to Sundays 12-4pm and admission is FREE
4. Enjoy some live music at The Ring O’ Bells
This Thursday Christleton’s The Ring O’ Bells are hosting some top notch live music with acoustic singer-songwriter Ellie Davies. Expect some acoustic twists on your favourite classic from this Buckley artist as well as a warm and welcoming atmosphere in this gorgeous Cheshire pub.
5. Experience music at The Mill
There’s something brand-new coming to Styal Mill this Saturday (14 January). Music at the Mill is a new event created by the Young Engagement Forum at Quarry Bank. Aimed at visitors aged 16-25, Music at the Mill is a takeover of the top floor of the historic Quarry Bank Mill where you can expect live music, chill vibes and great times. Entry is just £4 and the event runs from 6:30-9:30pm.
