This tranquil half-hour cruise long the River Dee departs from The Groves. From there, you will be taken upstream, under the suspension bridge, past Grosvenor Park and the Earl’s Eye, then you’ll follow the long sweep of the Meadows to the city limits before returning to The Groves.
The river tour of Chester offers a new view of the city and takes in some beautiful and interesting riverside properties. Look out for the local wildlife too, including swans, cormorants and kingfishers.
On the outward leg of the cruise, you will be offered a commentary which answers some of the more common questions asked about the river. On the return leg, there will be a more complete commentary, detailing interesting facts about Chester’s rich history and pointing out some of the more prominent buildings in the city skyline and along the river banks.
Step aboard and enjoy a hot or cold drink from the onboard bar as you make your way up the river.
Dogs on leads are welcome on all daytime sightseeing cruises, but not evening party cruises.
