Go Ape Delamere
A short drive from Chester and easily accessible by its very own train station, Go Ape is located in the heart of Delamere Forest, Cheshire's largest wooded area. Spanning over 2,400 acres, this leafy haven offers stunning views across Blakemere Moss, with ancient broadleaf trees and crisp evergreens providing the perfect backdrop for your wild day out. Go Ape Delamere has three high ropes experiences catering for all ages as well as an all-terrain Forest Segway offering. It's the crown jewel for Cheshire adrenaline junkies and families alike.
Treetop Adventure is a great introduction to our high ropes and zip wires, designed with children aged 4 to 10 years old in mind for brilliant family-friendly outdoor fun. Take on three confidence-building sections filled with exciting crossings and super zip wires back to the forest floor. It’s a brilliant way to bond together for a memorable day outdoors.
Treetop Adventure Plus at Delamere Forest offers fun-filled high ropes designed with kids aged 6 to 12 years old in mind, or those looking to build up their confidence. Adventurers get a feel for the obstacles as they take on Treetop Adventure sections first, then move onto the final more challenging Treetop Adventure Plus. That’s four sections to take on with fun-filled obstacles and super zip wires back to the forest floor. It's the perfect destination for families looking for an exciting day outdoors, all within a beautiful forest setting.
Experience our boldest adventure in the heart of Delamere Forest. This self belay course will have you navigating your way across wobbly bridges and soaring through the canopy on five exhilarating zip lines up to 212m long. Take on five sections with adrenaline-fueled challenges and high-flying thrills, including our legendary Tarzan Swing.
A unique way to explore Cheshire's largest area of woodland as you take on winding trails with our off-road Segways. This is Cheshire’s ultimate Segway experience. Explore beautiful woodland and discover areas of special scientific interest, including a rare ‘quaking bog’ which is home to some of the UK’s rarest wildlife. Weather permitting you can skirt the beautiful Blakemere Moss, a flooded wetland formed during the Ice Age. This is a brilliant experience for adults and kids (over 45kg) alike. Perfect for family days out, getting outdoors with your mates or for some forest ‘me time’. The experience starts with a safety briefing and time in the practice area, then it’s off into the trees!
Once you’ve conquered the crossings and zipped through the sky, the adventure doesn't stop. Explore the shoreline of the lake, get stuck into Delamere's Room on the Broom trail, or refuel at the visitor centre café. Whether you’re here for a heart-racing date or a full-on family expedition, Delamere has it all.
