** Visitor Attraction of the Year at the Marketing Cheshire Tourism Awards 2022/23 - Highly Commended **

Jodrell Bank is an amazing, unique, and awe-inspiring place. A world-leading deep-space radio observatory, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and an award-winning national visitor attraction.

Uncover the inspirational heritage of Jodrell Bank in the new First Light Pavilion. Inside this architecturally stunning building, you’ll find a bold new exhibition telling the pioneering stories of the scientists and engineers that made history. Explore interactive displays, projections and artefacts as you journey from the early post-war days of Jodrell Bank, through the heights of the Space Race and the depths of the Cold War, to today’s world-leading discoveries.

Want to know more about the mind-blowing science? Discover more about this incredible place and learn all about radio astronomy. Listen to the sounds of a black hole, see live signals received by the mighty Lovell Telescope, play with the ever-popular whispering dishes, and journey round the night sky in a traditional planetarium show.

Don’t forget to take time to explore cafes, picnic areas, a playground, arboretum, and gift shop on the extensive, and fully accessible Jodrell Bank site.
