It is a popular and delightful walk from Tegg’s Nose Country Park to Forest Chapel, in the beautiful hilly surroundings of Macclesfield Forest.

The first church was built here in 1673, but the present building only dates from 1834, charming in its simplicity. It is never more popular to visit than in August, when the church is decorated with flowers and rushes for the traditional rushbearing service.
