Solstice at Jodrell Bank

Join us for a one off evening of wonder and festive delight as we celebrate the winter solstice this December at Jodrell Bank.

Enjoy beautifully animated astronomical illuminations on the façade of our spectacular new First Light Pavilion. Take a seat and relax in our awesome, immersive, Space Dome to marvel at the stars in our universe whilst enjoying the ‘We Are Stars’ film. Learn about the moon and the stars and even make one of your own to take away with you.

Enjoy a complementary hot chocolate. Tasty hot food, mulled wine and festive treats will be available to purchase in our café from 17:30.

Our inaugural winter solstice celebration promises to be a memorable evening filled with festive cheer and marks the launch of our new cultural programme. Plus, if you are looking for some last-minute Christmas gifts, then our shop will be open from 17:30 – 21:00.
