Astro Night

Join us for a magical evening of dark sky observing here at Jodrell Bank.

The evening will start with a journey through space in our incredible Space Dome learning how to navigate the skies and locate the stars and planets. You'll be able to get hands on with telescopes, binoculars and planispheres and will be taught to use how to use the different tools. Weather permitting you'll be able to put all you've learnt into practice outside to observe the night sky. Along with Jodrell Bank's own team, Macclesfield Astronomical Society will be on hand and will be happy to answer any questions you have.

Our stunning First Light Café will be open before and during the event serving hot drinks and tasty treats.

Please note, observing the night sky is weather permitting.

This event is suitable for adults and young people 14+. Please note, all young people under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
