Carden Park celebrates Cheshire golf course 25th anniversary

Carden Park has announced a celebratory golf game in recognition of the Cheshire Golf course silver anniversary. Since opening, over a million rounds of golf have been played on the Cheshire Course at the luxury Carden Park country estate and on the 31st August several more will be played during the special event.

The Cheshire course, one of two at the luxury Carden Park Hotel, is situated at the back of the estate. It opened in 1993, and pre-dates the hotel by four years.

The championship course, which has been used to host pre-qualifying events for the European tour, enjoys beautiful views across the 1,000-acre estate out to the Welsh hills beyond.

Over the years, the course has had major investment including £80,000 spent on the bunkers in 2014 improving the design to flow with the natural contours of the landscape –so one dodgy swing and you could well find yourself reaching for the sand wedge!

The additional golf course was designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus, the 18-time winner of major championships.

The celebratory golf evening takes place on Thursday 31st August. The event is open to all golfers, including members and non- members who are invited to take part in a 9-hole competition and enjoying a hog roast style meal. Prices are £13.00 per person for members and £15.00 per person for non members.
