Experience our city like you never have before - al fresco festivals will be popping up in it’s beautiful corners over the weekend with roaming entertainers and our businesses taking to the streets to join in the festivities.

The King Brasstards

Inspired by the sounds of the streets of New Orleans, this 5-piece brass band will bring the streets of Chester to life and fill it with brassy and brilliant tunes!

The Magical Flower Fairies 

Creating magical moments as they roam all around Chester. The flower fairies will bring you into their fairy world, creating lots of moments of surprise and awe at some of their tricks

The Enchanted Trees

Tall and crooked. The enchanted forest trees will tell tales of their Spring forest adventures and are ready for lots of selfies and snaps with Chester visitors young and old.

Saturday 19th March

11 - 11.30am Town Hall Square - find our enchanted trees and magical flower fairies roaming with the King Brasstards amongst the farmer’s market on Town Hall Square.

12 - 12.30pm Bridge Street - the festival takes to Bridge Street! Join the performance as it works its way up Bridge Street and comes to a rest outside Leonidas chocolate shop - where the kids can get creative with cream and marshmallows and decorate their own hot chocolate! (Rumour has it, it could get competitive!)

1 - 1.30pm Watergate Street - the home of the indies party! Our festival will wind its way down the cobbled streets and popping in and out of the Rows. Resting outside Watergate Street Gallery where you can join in with Drop in and Draw, over 18’s can enjoy a specially created cocktail from Assembly and Frankie’s café will be handing out the nibbles!

2.30 - 3pm Rufus Court - discover this hidden gem in our city! Our performance takes to Rufus Court where you can take a seat outside Alexander’s in the beautiful court yard and enjoy a refreshment while watching the entertainment. You could book a spot at Koji’s zero waste cocktail session which will finish just as the performance begins! Book here 

4 - 4.30pm Foregate Street - head down to our Foregate Street performance to grab the chance to make a FREE bubble bar for the Mother figure in your life at Lush! It’s first come, first served so be sure to be early so you don’t miss out.

Then you could head into Alexander’s for their FREE performance of The Deportees Folk which starts at 2pm.

3.30-4pm Grosvenor Park Children’s Play area - we take to the park for our finale! We’ll be down by the children’s play area and the miniature railway so it will the place to be to let the kids run off the last of their weekend energy!
