Cheshire Archives and Local Studies is housed in a large historic warehouse building used in the 19th Century as a furniture depot for Browns of Chester.  It was converted in the 1980's for the safekeeping of Cheshire's recorded history.

The exhibition showcases the brilliant scientists of the Cheshire chemical industry, innovations in photography, and pioneering amateur Cheshire photographers.

The behind-the-scenes tours at 11:00, 12:00 & 14:00 are partially accessible: alternate arrangements can be made with advance notice. The exhibition is fully accessible.

Booking to join a tour is essential as numbers are restricted.  Please phone Cheshire Archives on 01244 972574 when booking opens on 2 August at 11:00.  Booking will close on 9 September at 15:30.
