This Eastern Orthodox church, which belongs to the Ecumenical Patriarchate Archdiocese of Thyateira & Great Britain, is a grade II listed building and serves Cheshire and North Wales. It has many fine icons and recently installed Iconostasis and altar.
The Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Barbara the Great Martyr is in Overleigh New Cemetery. The cemetery entrance leading to the church is on the southern side of Overleigh Road adjacent to Blackwell's stonemasons.
The church will be open on Friday 9, Saturday 10, Sunday 11, Wednesday 14, Friday 16, Saturday 17, and Sunday 18 September from 12:00 to 16:00, except on Sundays when open from 14:00 to 18:00.
