Jez Hellard and The Djukella Orchestra

Captivating contemporary folk act, Jez Hellard and The Djukella Orchestra, will be playing traditional and contemporary folk music at the Salt Works Sessions at Cheshire’s award-winning Lion Salt Works Museum on 11 June. In a night that promises to be one to remember, Jez and the Djukella Orchestra will play powerful and moving songs with virtuoso playing including fiery fiddling, silky double bass and smoking harmonica. Doors and the bar open at 7.15pm with music starting at 8pm.

Jez Hellard is a teller of gripping tales and songs full of depth. He is a fine guitarist and an extraordinary harmonica player – honing these skills over the last 20 years, travelled around the world, including performing in some unlikely places. His band, The Djukella Orchestra, featuring Nye Parsons, one of the most captivating double bassists on the folk scene, play contemporary folk music from jigs, reels and rebel ballards to tango, rhumba and reggae.
