About Us

Knutsford Music Festival returns for its third year across four days in 2019 for an epic celebration of music and local Cheshire talent. You can catch a whopping 44 performers in various locations across Knutsford during the festival.

We’ve brought back popular favourites including Friday Night Blues, headlined this year by Blues supremo and founder of the European Blues Association Michael Roach! He’ll be joined by his daughter Sadie Roach for an exclusive father-daughter performance that you don’t want to miss. They’ll be supported by local talent The Valkyries and Rick Whitehead. You can catch this incredible night at St John’s Church on Friday 21st June from 7pm.

Also returning in 2019 is our high in-demand Classical at The Courthouse event which will be headlined this year by rising stars String Infusion – an all-girl string-crossover group who perform an exciting mixture of classical and modern pieces on electric LED string instruments. It is guaranteed to be a really entertaining event. They’ll be supported by Sophie Leaver and Mark Newberry, a graduate duo from University of Liverpool at The Courthouse on Sunday 23rd June from 3.45pm.

We’re hosting The Main Event at an exciting new venue in Knutsford – Vermilion Studios, a hidden gem in town and a very beautiful art studio which provides the perfect setting for a cool show. We’ve got Dan Donnelly of The Levellers, Oysterband and The Wonder Stuff (and current frontman of Celtic Social Club) performing with his friend, fiddle-player Ben Paley. They’ll be supported by a host of amazing Cheshire talent: Megan Dixon-Hood (fresh from supporting Rag’n’Bone Man), Jack Woodward and Knutsford’s own K-Town Beer Band. It’s a 4 for the price of 3 extravaganza with refreshments provided by Knutsford favourites Dexter and Jones that you would hate to miss! Come along on Saturday 22nd June, doors from 6.30pm.

Mark Radcliffe presents Folk at the Theatre returns to Knutsford Little Theatre for another 3 days of astounding folk music from 20 – 22 June, kicking off with the outrageously talented John Smith, followed by Merry Hell and the closing show from BBC’s own Emma Sweeney. Friday night with Merry Hell is already sold out, so don’t wait around to grab your tickets for these shows because they’re selling fast!

Families can head down to The Moor on Saturday 22nd June from 1-4pm for Music on the Moor featuring an authentic African drumming workshop, an eco-friendly kids craft workshop, plus 6 incredible performers. The best part is – this event is FREE! Grab your picnic blankets and come on down. And then on Sunday 23rd, you can head back to The Moor for Moor Music with a relaxing performance from Mereside Brass Band from 2pm ahead of our classical event that evening. It’s sure to be some great family fun.

There are also 21 wonderful fringe events to catch over the weekend hosted by local businesses and groups. You can catch most of these free of charge so why not pop in and listen to some amazing music?
