About Us

Tour Guide, John Wolfenden, will lead this Chester Heritage Festival walk from the North Wall to the River Dee. At each stop along the way, John will read from what well-known visitors have written about Chester in that area; writers such as Daniel Defoe, Dr Johnson, George Borrow, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Charles Dickens, and Henry James will be included. An entertaining variety!

Meet in the Visitor Information Centre at the Town Hall for this two-hour walk which includes steps.

Guide Prices

£8 adult, £7 concession (in full-time education, retired) and £20 family (2 adults and 2 children under 16). Pay on the day, but book your place on the walk in advance, via this website or by phoning the Chester Heritage Festival office - 01244 972115
