About Us

Marton Wakes is a traditional village fete and a great day out. It begins with the Rose Queen procession arriving by tractor, including Rose Queens from the surrounding villages, and the crowning of the Marton Rose Queen. Then the afternoon will be filled with traditional games such as coconut shy and tombola, a brass band, a dog show, birds of prey and model aircraft display, a BBQ and bar, afternoon teas and more. From 5:30, we'll be serving hog roast, playing Victorian cricket and there'll be a clay pigeon shoot.

Entry fee £2. Under 15's £1 Children under 5 free. Your dog will be welcome.

We are fund-raising to support restoration work at our ancient church, which is Grade 1 listed and one of Cheshire's historical gems. Do come - it will be fun!
