Join the Catalyst soap factory and have fun learning about how soap is made. Crush some soap noodles, add a colour and a fragrance and make your very own bar of soap to take home!
Workshops will run twice a day from 11am and again at 2pm. Tickets cost £1.75 per person and can be booked on the Catalyst website.
Catalyst will open its doors for free as part of the National Heritage Open Days events so you won't need to pay the general admission.
You'll have access to the Ground Floor Interactive Gallery, Birth of an Industry Gallery on the first floor, access to the Baker Gallery and the Gossage Archive Room on the second floor and the Observatory on the fourth floor where you are invited to make use of the Panoramic Halton, interactive tablets to discover more about the rich heritage of the area that you can see from this stunning glass-walled gallery.
Also on offer is the Two Centuries of Stink exhibition about smells, the cafe, shop under 5s PlayLab and the external playground.
General admission to Catalyst is free for 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th September but tickets are limited and need to be booked via the Catalyst website.
