SoundBox Spring Thing 2023 welcomes back Kim for her third SoundBox gig, but the first playing a duo set with her dad, Andrew. As 'one half' of Kim Lowings and The Greenwood, they have delighted audiences at folk clubs, festivals and events nationally. The two have been writing and collaborating since 2011, and as a duo they are able to showcase their songwriting skills and the intricacies of their acoustic sound with a warm and captivating stage presence.
The sound draws together mountain dulcimer, guitar, bouzouki and piano to resonate with Kim's lyric writing and arrangements of traditional folk song.
The evening's opening spot is filled by Wirral-based blues & roots aficionado Iain Paterson.
Level access; bar; parking within five minutes of the venue.
