About Us

The spring plant fair at Ness Botanic Gardens has always been a great opener for the gardening season and for 2019 we have a wonderful line up of 15 top nurseries including RHS Gold Medal Winners offering a tremendous variety of plants. Nurseries attending include woodland plant specialists Edrom Nursery from Berwickshire; award-winning alpine nursery Pottertons from Lincolnshire; The Cottage Herbery from Worcestershire, growing quality, organic, peat-free Herbs, aromatics and scented foliage plants; Jurassic plants with a great range of rare woody edibles and other hard to find trees and shrubs; Packhorse Farm Nursery from Derbyshire specialising in Acers and rare and desirable shrubs. Plus, Chicken Street, Conquest Plants, Hall Farm Nursery, Mandsand Plants, Mayfields Plants, Meadow View Plants, Mynd Hardy Plants, Penmere Plants, Special Perennials and The Gobbett Nursery. The mix of nurseries ensures there's something for every type of garden; little gems to tempt the most discerning plants person and lots of help and advice for the new or less experienced gardener. The plant fair runs on Sunday 24th March from 10am-4pm. Entry to the plant fair is £1.00, free parking. (garden optional, separate charge). Refreshments available.
