About Us

The spring plant fair at Ness Botanic Gardens has always been a great opener for the season and for 2018 there is a wonderful line up of 14 nurseries and artisans from 7 different counties attending offering a mouth-watering choice of plants from alpines to acers and everything in between.

The mix of nurseries ensures there's something for every type of garden; little gems to tempt the most discerning plants person and lots of help and advice for the new or less experienced gardener.

At this time of year, the nurseries will come laden with flowering bulbs and shrubs to provide instant colour, but also lots of later flowering plants to get planted now for colour into the summer and beyond. Now's the time think ahead and plan that dream border for your garden.

The plant fair is held in the self-contained herb garden and entry is just £1.00. This is redeemable against optional entry to the main gardens which are always worth a visit. The restaurant is open for teas, cakes and light meals. Dogs on leads are welcome at the fair but not in the main garden. There is ample free parking. Full details of nurseries attending are at
