The Battle of Nantwich

The faithful troops of The Sealed Knot will once again gather in the historic town of Nantwich, Cheshire to re-enact the battle that took place in 1644, marking the end of the siege of the town during the English Civil War.

Every year a small team of volunteers co-ordinates the re-enactment, the first of many annual events that take place in the award-winning floral market town of Nantwich.

Holly Holy Day is held in the town centre and Mill Island locations of Nantwich.From M6, jct 16 just follow signs to Nantwich town centre.

Nantwich is served by a regular bus service (Nos 84, 44, 45) from Crewe town centre and from Chester city centre (no. 84). Services are also available from Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent (No 85), changing in Crewe. Rail - Nantwich has a railway station located on the Manchester – Cardiff line, located approximately 10 minutes from the town centre, providing direct 2 hourly services for Crewe, Shrewsbury, Manchester Oxford Road and Cardiff, and a service from Chester (changing at Crewe).
