About Us

Twice daily at 10:30am and 2:00pm, this 90-minute tour is a perfect way to hear the 2000- year story of Chester. Discover how the river dominated the development of the city: from being the border bridging point of the country’s largest Roman Fortress; then growing into a busy Medieval trading port; before, with the silting of the Dee and Chester re-emerging as a gentrified city in the Georgian and Victorian eras. Take in all the main sights along the way. Meet your Tour Guide at the VIC.

Tickets direct from the Guide on the day: £8 adult, £7 concession, £20 family. www.chestertours.org.uk
