The Lord Mayor of Chester and the City of Chester Charter Trustees will be celebrating Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee with a variety of activities: City Centre sing-along; lighting of a Beacon; Military Parade and a schools competition.
Thursday 2 June – 2pm - HM Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire’s Services of Thanksgiving - Chester Cathedral. The Cathedral service is by invitation only but members of the public can apply for tickets via the public ballot. Email Chestercivic@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk before 20 May to be considered. The service is being streamed live on Chester Cathedral website for anyone to watch from the comfort of their own home.

To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Cheshire West and Chester Council and the City of Chester Charter Trustees are offering a number of Regalia Talks and Tours of Chester Town Hall. As well as delving into the history of the Town Hall and the ceremonial side of the City of Chester, the tours will also explore Chester's civic connections with Her Majesty the Queen and other members of the Royal Family.
Tours include entrance to the Lord Mayor’s exhibition Her Majesty's connections with Chester. Regalia Talks and tours of the Town Hall will last around 1hour and 15 minutes and donations to the Lord Mayor of Chester’s charities are welcome
