The Mill Ballads is a music theatre production which blurs the borders between folk music, drama and social history.

Folk group Trebuchet; Keith Carter Harris, Mark Seyler, Steve Mansfield, combine with actor Stephen Howe to bring to life this important part of our history.

The year is 1845 and Joseph Sefton recalls the experiences of his life. While recounting his stories, his thoughts and memories come to life in songs.

The Mill Ballads is based on real historical characters and events, which took place in and around Quarry Bank Mill in Cheshire, during the industrial revolution.

This October, the Mill Ballads will have three performances, with each show having an interval between the two acts, on the following dates;

Saturday 1st October 7.30pm - The Rainow Institute, Stocks Lane, Rainow, Macclesfield SK10 5XR
