Mitri Raheb looks more closely at the rise and fall of Middle Eastern Christianity, the political situation in Israel Palestine, and the migration, displacement and resilience of contemporary Christians in the Middle East.

With a public lecture: Faith in the Face of Empire - The Bible through Palestinian Eyes.

Mitri Raheb is the Founder and President of Dar al-Kalima University College of Arts and Culture in Bethlehem. The most widely published Palestinian theologian to date, he is the author of 18 books. His books and articles have been translated so far into 11 languages. Mitri served as the senior pastor of the Christmas Lutheran Church in Bethlehem from June 1987 to May 2017 and as the President of the Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land from 2011-2016. He was elected in 2018 as a member of the Palestinian National Council and the Palestinian Central Council and serves as an advisor to the Higher Presidential Palestinian Committee on Church Affairs.
