Tatton Park is looking for animal lovers of all sizes to help protect the rare breeds animals being cared for at the Farm. By adopting an animal as part of an exciting new scheme, supported by the Tatton Park Charitable Trust, people can make a real difference to the conservation, breeding and promotion of rare and endangered species in the UK.

A fun-filled Animal Adoption launch weekend at Tatton Park’s Farm on 4th and 5th March will give visitors VIP access to three rare breeds available for adoption - Emily the Golden Guernsey goat, Sensation the Shire horse and Martha the Middle White pig.

Learn all about these special farmyard friends!

Between 11.30 -12.30pm and 1-2pm on both days, visitors will have the unique opportunity to meet the animals. Emily is 5 years old and you’ll find out why she loves people so much. You can help groom and walk her, and maybe feed her some carrots too!

You’ll have the chance to stroke Sensation, whose father and grandfather were national Shire horse champions. She loves a scratch behind her ears and you can help clean the harness she wears for training.

And you can get up close and personal to Martha, who will be out of her pen, to learn about her ear tattoo and why she likes rolling in the mud!

Helping to protect ‘at risk’ rare breed animals

If you decide to adopt Emily, Sensation or Martha you will receive a ‘farmtastic’ gift package for £35 which includes an official adoption certificate, two tickets to attend a special adopters’ event, a cuddly animal toy, factsheet, sticker and photocard plus seasonal e-newsletters throughout the year.

If you can’t make it to the launch weekend, the Adoption pack is also available to buy online from the Tatton Park Charitable Trust’s new website www.tattonparktrust.org. Ideal for birthday and Christmas presents, all funds from the adoption scheme support our vital rare breeds conservation programme.

Admission tickets for the Farm and Parkland can be booked online at www.tattonpark.org.uk
