You are here: Chester > Chester Designed by Nature: Spring Blooms > Crossroads Honeycomb
Located at Chester’s famous Cross, where the four historic streets of Bridge St, Eastgate St, Northgate St and Watergate St meet, the Crossroads Honeycomb reflects the beautiful simplicity of nature’s repetitive patterns. Based on honeycomb shapes, the work is found draping across some of the city’s famous architecture and filling in the spaces between. Expanding from a central point, it will reflect the bustle of the hive in the city’s most popular meeting landmark.
Artist Bex Knight is a scenographer and artist from the West Midlands. Having graduated with a degree in Design for Performance in the summer of 2021, she is just beginning to explore the creative world as a freelance artist. Bex’s work has predominantly been exploring connecting the artwork to its public space, often focused on using natural materials, as most recently demonstrated by her "Hand in Nature" sculpture in the Lost Gardens of Heligan in Cornwall.
