Spooky season is nearly upon us and it's almost time for you to pick your pumpkins. Cheshire is full of great places to go to get your pumpkin, here is a roundup of some of the best! 

A new special exhibition ‘Remembering Bosnia, 30 years on’ has been launched at Cheshire Military Museum in Chester. It looks back at the 1st Battalion the Cheshire Regiment’s deployment to Bosnia as part of a UN force in 1992 -93. The Cheshire’s were the first British Battalion to deploy armoured vehicles in the region, experiencing the horrors of a civil war, helping the civilian population and protecting convoys of essential life-saving supplies.

Walkers around Chester City Walls will be able to venture into King Charles' Tower, a rare opportunity, during the weekends 9th and 10th, 16th and 17th September, between 10.30am and 4pm. This is the first year King Charles' Tower has opened under a Royal King of the same name and all Royal visitors are very welcome!

Nantwich Museum has announced further August events at its spectacular Summer of Science Festival. The wide range of walks, talks, family activities along with a climate coffee morning should mean that there is a science event for everyone! 

Following a successful 2022 Nantwich Food Festival, the Festival organisers have excelled themselves. The organisers thank Nantwich Town Council and Cheshire East Council for their ongoing support that has been crucial to the Festival’s continued success. These thanks are extended to all the local sponsors, without whom, the Festival would not take place.

The stunning 6,000-acre estate, in Tattenhall near Chester and Wrexham, will host AXFest over three days from September 15.

Chester Cathedral’s popular Heritage Discovery Day returns for 2023 to explore the infamous Tudors in Chester’s most iconic historic church and grounds.
